- M.I.L.E.S for Seniors Inc.
Seniors Resource Councils are a main source of support for seniors at the community level. They are located throughout Manitoba and are grouped by regions coinciding with the Regional Health Authorities. All SRC’s operate independently within their communities and though the types of services and programs may vary according to local needs, they are often the first point of contact in the community.M.I.L.E.S. for Seniors Inc. (Maintaining Independent Living with Extended Services) is our Senior Support Service, serving all adults 55+ and / or people who may be physically challenged who reside in the RM of Victoria, RM of South Norfolk and the Town of Treherne.
Services provided by this program include: Congregate Meal Programs, Meals on Wheels, Driver / Escort, Lifeline Emergency Response, Medical Equipment Loans, Home and Yard Maintenance, Educational Programs, Exercise Programs, Social / Recreational Activities, Intergenerational Programs, etc.
